Dogwood Canyon, Lampe, Missouri
Arcadia
Dogwood Canyon cuts through the Ozark hills in southwest Missouri, where water works its way down through the layered limestone in a series of drops rather than one clean fall. In high summer the canyon walls close in green on both sides.
Rather than backing up with a wide lens, this was built as a vertical panorama — a column of frames at 85mm stitched together, which keeps the ledges square instead of bending them and holds detail from the pool at the bottom to the treeline at the top. A third of a second at f/16 to let the water draw.
