Tetons mountain range reflecting in lake at sunset

Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

Firestorm

The Tetons from across Jackson Lake. Megan and I were driving back from a day exploring Yellowstone when we saw the makings of a good sunset. We decided to stop at Jackson Lake Dam, set up the camera, and wait. It wasn’t long until the sky exploded into yellows, oranges, and reds. The scene in the sky, reflected in the water, was so encompassing that I felt a panorama was the best way to convey the feeling of being there. That’s Mt. Moran—with the blunted, squarish peak—in the center.
