Winter Solitude
Winters are particularly hard in Grand Teton National Park, with temperatures often in the negatives and blowing snowstorms that just keep piling up all winter long. This photo was taken during a brief lull in a 3-day blizzard, showing a lone crow searching for his next meal or perhaps just enjoying a reprieve from the snow. I love the simplicity of the scene, as the ground, sky and tree blend in a sea of white and the crow stands out in sharp contrast.
