Sandman
At first, it was just sandstone.
I was drawn in by the fine, almost velvety texture of the rock and the warm, even light across its surface. Then I noticed the crack running through it. From just the right angle, its shape suggested the faint silhouette of a face in profile, almost as if someone were sleeping beneath the surface.
I called it Sandman—a tiny illusion hidden in an otherwise ordinary piece of stone.
